Thanks to the support of Dr. Smiling, a team of volunteers brought joy to about 50 grandparents of Casa la Esperanza, a home created for elderly street dwellers to spend the night in a clean and comfortable bed, protected from the cold under a safe roof, with a hot meal, accompanied and safe by human beings who are at this stage of their lives, completely alone.
A hot breakfast, some cleaning kits, but above all, a lot of love were delivered by the members of this allied organization, which always surprises us with its joy and gifts for the children and grandparents beneficiaries of the Fundación Proyecto Unión.
Today, on Grandfather’s Day, we want to pay tribute to them, extraordinary beings full of wisdom, stories and feelings that deserve all the support of a committed society, that gives them the attention they require, gives them hope and gives them all the love and company they need, so that together with the Fundación Proyecto Unión we can ensure that they never lack their daily bread and a roof over which to spend the last phase of their lives.
