Comprehensive, timely, continuous, and quality care

The purpose of this program is to provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary care to children and adolescents with disabilities and complex diseases that are difficult to manage under a process of restitution of rights with the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare.

Such a program was developed in the following locations: Hogar Santa Rita de Cascia in Bogotá and Centro de Vida in Tocancipá, Cundinamarca.

This program provides multidisciplinary support to children, adolescents, and their families, who have not been served by the Social Security System in terms of not getting timely appointments with specialists to assess their condition and determine the rehabilitation necessary for the promotion of their integral development, the prevention of diseases and chronic conditions.

We are capable of serving 100 children, adolescents, and their families every six months at the Santa Rita de Cascia Nursing Home in Bogotá and Centro de Vida in Tocancipá, Cundinamarca.

This non-formal, inclusive, and multidisciplinary day care educational project (9 am to 3 pm) is for children and adolescents with disabilities and difficult-to-manage diseases who are at social risk, allowing primary caregivers to ensure quality care, while they work in the search for income stability for their families and to avoid abandonment.

This program reaches 220 children per year and is developed at the Santa Rita de Cascia Nursing Home in Bogotá and Centro de Vida in Tocancipá, Cundinamarca.

This multidisciplinary recreational support program is currently being developed at the headquarters of Centro de Vida; with a daytime stay (8 am to 6 pm) on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, aimed at children and adolescents, children of employees of the allied Jaime Duque Park Foundation, allowing their caregivers to ensure a quality accompaniment while their parents are at work, thus preventing risk situations and the violation of their rights.

The objective of this program is to accompany and host families who have a child with cancer or any other complex disease who travel from different locations in Colombia and neighboring countries, who do not have the financial resources or family network in Bogotá, to receive specialized treatments for their children.

This program is developed at Casa de Los Angeles and Casa Dharma Nursing Homes.

By strengthening the philosophy of supporting others who so require, the Foundation extends its hand through the “Kindness Chain” program to other institutions, foundations, and people who are going through a difficult situation. We always share the best with love, truly believing that it is better to give than to receive.

As we are aware of the health needs in our country, our “Chanchito” (Piggy Bank) travels to different corners of the country to find and transfer children who require specialized treatment in the capital city. In addition, our organization joins efforts with professionals to reach different corners of the country with comprehensive care and transform lives.
