“Sometimes we tend to disregard the importance of observing beyond what we have and consider the needs of those who have to cope with challenges in their daily lives. Children with disabilities in particular. Today, 25 Levan volunteers had the chance to learn while participating in a corporate volunteering day at Centro de Vida (Tocancipá, Cundinamarca, Colombia).

From the moment they arrived, Levapan volunteers had a perspective-changing experience. They participated in activities from helping to organize the warehouse to balloon twisting and an exciting Clown show. They also took a stroll through the surrounding spaces.

Corporate volunteering is not just opening doors to organizations and entities that wish to do good: It was the first time many of these volunteers experienced true inclusion up close. They took with them, in their hearts, valuable lessons about the value of what we have. “We must open our hearts to these experiences and look beyond ourselves; it’s not just us, there are many more people we can help,” said Leidy Ramirez, a Levapan volunteer from the warehouse area.

At the end of the day, it is important to recognize that helping is not limited to financial aid: it is also about donating our time and energy to make a difference, whether through a walk, a comforting hug, or simply sharing a game, every act of kindness adds up!”
