With the purpose of sharing this special time with the grandparents who are beneficiaries of the program “Comedor María es mi Madre” of the Proyecto Unión Foundation, a group of volunteer angels carried out one of the most significant lunches that they normally perform throughout the year, demonstrating their generosity and desire to serve this vulnerable population that lives in the center of the capital.
This time the event began with a prayer by a volunteer who managed to transform the environment, achieving the presence and blessings of the Holy Spirit. Thanks to the faith and vocation of service that identifies each one of the volunteers, this time they donated a large suckling pig for two hundred and fifty people, a cake and some details for the staff that attends this important program that for more than 20 years has been providing daily food to the elderly street dwellers.
This great activity brought together more than 200 elderly adults, who not only enjoyed lunch and dessert but also the pleasant company of this group of volunteer angels, who made it possible to multiply the dreams and fill the hearts of our beneficiaries with hope, love and peace, in this beautiful Christmas season.
