“Every May 22nd, we commemorate with hope and gratitude the feast day of Saint Rita of Cascia, patron saint of the impossible: A woman of unwavering faith, an example of love and dedication. Inspired by her life story and guided by her intercession, this year we took another step forward in our mission of dignifying the lives of our children.
At the seat of Hogar Santa Rita de Cascia (Saint Rita of Cascia Nursing Home) in Bogotá, we lived a deeply spiritual day: 20 of our beneficiary children received the sacrament of baptism, at a moving celebration, full of light and hope.
Each one of them was accompanied by their godmothers and godfathers: officials and volunteers of out seat, who undertook with love and responsibility the beautiful commitment of guiding them in the path of faith. Baptism is not just a rite; it is the beginning of a new life in Christ; it is becoming part of the great family of the Church and this is exactly what we lived: a feast for the soul and heart. A feast of shared love.
We express our special gratitude to Father Yesid Durán for his commitment and the team of spiritual advisors from Universidad Javeriana, who were involved in the preparation of the godparents. To our donors and friends: Thank you for believing, giving and for being with us in this very special date, allowing to live this feast with joy, purpose and deep gratitude.
May Saint Rita continue to show us that where there is true love, there are no impossible causes.”
