“A group of 46 volunteers from Zimmer Biomet, an American corporation that specializes in medical devices came in to transform the day of the beneficiary children at the Santa Rita de Cascia nursing home.
From time to time, the staff of this important corporation extend their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) towards the most vulnerable people in our country, as Cristina Ramírez, CSR Leader expressed. This time, they had the opportunity to impact 50 children from our nursing home through leisure activities and the donation of medicines, diapers and foodstuffs.
In the morning, volunteers participated with the children in a fun leisure activity that brought joy to every corner in the house. In the afternoon, they devoted time to draw and to share a snack. During this day, volunteers had the chance to meet the children and connect their hearts to theirs, achieving what some of the volunteers acknowledged as a recharge for their lives.
Thanks to this great solidarity gesture from the volunteers coming from Zimmer Biomet we were able to strengthen our mission of bringing back hope and improve the quality of life of more than a hundred children in vulnerable conditions.”
