“The true legacy of a leadership group are the lasting imprints they leave on an organization and the lives of those they impact. This was the case of the LP28 Prometheus Group, whose main mission is focused towards helping orphaned children. In their quest to support a meaningful cause, they visited the Hogar Santa Rita de Cascia by Proyecto Unión Foundation in Bogotá, where currently there are 50 children living under the protection of the Colombian Institute for Family Welfare, (ICBF). These children, for various reasons, could not be cared for by their parents.
In the month of October, the LP28 Prometheus Group made a decision that would make a difference in the lives of these children: they organized a series of fund-raising activities for the benefit of the Nursing Home. Such activities included dancing and yoga classes and selling food and drinks, among others. Thanks to their dedication and effort, they were able to raise the necessary funds to purchase basic goods such as toiletries, diapers, sheets and other essential items.
These resources, which are distributed according to the priorities of each site, were a tangible response to the most urgent needs of the children who live in this Nursing Home. However, the greatest donation that this group gave us did was not limited to tangible goods, but also, they set an example of conveying values and principles through their actions.
We deeply thank the LP28 Prometheus Group for their commitment, their dedication and for demonstrating that leadership not only inspires, but also transforms; their legacy will always be remembered and valued by each and every member of this great family.”
